Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Professional Services Consultant – Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) to lead complex enterprise network security deployments, migrations, and architecture transformations. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, delivering hands-on expertise across Palo Alto Networks platforms—spanning enterprise data centers, multi-cloud architectures, SD-WAN, and IoT/OT environments.

Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies

Palo Alto Networks NGFW & Platform Security

  • Deployment & Architecture: Design, build, and deploy Palo Alto Networks NGFWs and Panorama from the ground up, including High Availability (HA) architectures.

  • Security Controls: Configure App-ID, User-ID, Security Profiles, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, File Blocking, and both inbound/outbound SSL Decryption.

  • Certificate & Security Posture: Manage CSRs and TLS/SSL certificates; execute Best Practice Assessments (BPAs) to optimize client security postures.

  • Connectivity & Threat Analysis: Build and troubleshoot GlobalProtect and Site-to-Site IPsec VPN tunnels; analyze network threat logs to identify vulnerabilities and risks.

Cloud, SD-WAN & Specialized Technology

  • Public Cloud Deployment: Deploy and support Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls across AWS, Azure, and GCP, managing cloud-native routing, VPC/VNet architectures, subnets, and load balancers to secure north-south and east-west traffic.

  • SD-WAN & Network Architecture: Implement and troubleshoot PAN-OS SD-WAN architecture, including dynamic path selection, traffic steering, and enterprise integration.

  • IoT / OT Security: Secure unmanaged IoT/OT devices through micro-segmentation, VLAN isolation, traffic control, and risk mitigation strategies.

Migrations, Lifecycle Management & Troubleshooting

  • Platform Migrations: Lead complex firewall migrations from legacy platforms (Cisco ASA, Check Point, Juniper) to Palo Alto Networks, leveraging tools like Palo Alto Expedition.

  • Management Transitions: Modernize client management platforms by transitioning Panorama-managed environments to Strata Cloud Manager (SCM).

  • Lifecycle Management: Direct PAN-OS upgrades, licensing strategies, platform troubleshooting, and escalation management.

Professional Services & Client Engagement

  • Client Advisory: Facilitate technical discovery workshops to translate business requirements into robust security architectures.

  • Execution & Documentation: Own end-to-end technical delivery, generate precise technical documentation, and operate independently across customer engagements.

Qualifications & Experience

Technical Foundations

  • Strong proficiency in enterprise networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols, VLANs, and IP subnetting.

  • Practical knowledge of physical and virtual firewall architectures, modern attack vectors, and mitigation frameworks.

Professional & Soft Skills
